PLEASE READ: Cat Lady Restructuring

Dear Wonderful Clients, 


Please read this e-mail carefully as there is a complete restructuring of the Cat Lady organization! The most important points are in bold.


It is our pleasure to announce the promotion of our Virtual Assistant, Stacy, to Office Manager.

If you joined us in the past two years, you may remember Stacy as your first point of contact who answered your questions about the business and set up your consultation. I am certain that Stacy will fulfill her expanded job duties with the same level of professionalism and enthusiasm while speeding up our response time. Stacy can be reached via email or via text/call on our office number 240-415-8722.


As Stacy takes the reins on office communication, Kelly will be attending an educational program for a bit of a promotion as well. Kelly’s enrolled in the University of Washington online certificate program in applied animal behavior. Her ultimate goal is to become a certified cat behavior consultant, which should fit nicely under the Cat Lady umbrella of services. The program begins in September and Kelly’s availability for sitting and walking will decrease as she studies for the following nine months and grows into her new role in 2019.


Additionally, Kylee has taken a second job at a veterinary hospital, so she will only be available to us part-time. Brian, who was hired earlier this year, has kindly agreed to take on the work that Kylee and I can no longer do.  As Brian becomes our full time sitter/walker, he is prepared to jump in and take over work where he can, and reach out to introduce himself to you as needed.


In light of these changes in staffing and availability, we can no longer “pencil in” visits. All canceled visits, except in cases of inclement weather, will incur a $5 fee per visit. If you need to change the time of your visit, this will incur both the $5 cancelation fee and the $5 emergency fee if we are fitting in the new time with less than 24 hours notice.


Beginning in August, we will ONLY be accepting scheduling and cancellation requests via PPC, with the exception of emergency visits which will require a text message to Stacy. Please keep using PPC as it has been incredibly handy to have all requests, reservations, client information, and invoices linked together in one program. If you have any trouble using PPC, Kelly is happy to schedule a time to come to your home and show you how to use it on your computer, on the phone app, or both. Kelly’s personal phone number will be out of service beginning in August so it is imperative that you switch to PPC and our office phone number for communication.
